OFN, a developer of sustainable products for public spaces, has entered into an agreement with TransEquity Network of Den Bosch to serve as the company’s growth partner. TransEquity Network fully endorses OFN’s vision on sustainability. Together, they are committed to accelerating the company’s growth in the coming years. Hogenhouck M&A advised OFN’s shareholders on the transaction.
Accelerate growth
For OFN, this investment represents a tremendous opportunity to grow and evolve into a company that is well-suited to today’s world. “We are proud of the step we are now taking as a family-owned business, and we are confident that we have found a partner in TransEquity Network that is a good fit for OFN,” says David Baars, CEO and shareholder of OFN.
Sustainable Solutions for Public Spaces
For 20 years, OFN has specialized in developing and maintaining public space projects. OFN’s products can be seen in countless locations by millions of Dutch travelers. From public transportation stops and boarding areas, to digital travel information displays and sustainable wayfinding systems, and from noise barriers along highways to bus shelters with sedum roofs.
For the past four years, OFN has been focusing on developing sustainable innovations for these public spaces. This involves adapting existing products so that they have a lower environmental impact. In addition, new, smarter products are being developed that are better suited to today’s world.
Next Step for the Family Business
OFN shareholder and CEO David Baars will remain in the same role at OFN. Founder Henk Baars will serve as a member of the Advisory Board. Henk Baars, former owner of OFN: “In practical terms, this change for OFN means that I am transferring a portion of my shares to TransEquity Network and to David. This will allow OFN to continue building the company while retaining the team. It’s reassuring to know that David will remain fully in the lead and that OFN’s growth initiatives will be supported by the professionals at TransEquity Network.”
