The M&A boutique Hogenhouck has been growing for twenty consecutive years. The only limiting factor is the standard it sets for itself: quality comes first, and it is the people who deliver that quality. The company’s headquarters will remain in The Hague.
The Hague, November 2, 2026. Hogenhouck M&A is opening a second office at Apollolaan 151 in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. This is the firm’s first location outside The Hague since its founding in 2007. With the new office, Hogenhouck is moving closer to entrepreneurs in the Amsterdam region, to colleagues who live there, and to the talent needed to drive its growth.
Grown every year
What Rik Stikkelbroeck and Mark van Beusekom started in The Hague in 2007 has grown into a team of more than 35 professionals who have guided over 500 entrepreneurs through the sale of their businesses. Since its founding, Hogenhouck has seen annual revenue growth. In 2027, the firm will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Amsterdam is not the end of the road, but rather the prelude to the next phase.
Closer to the entrepreneur
A large proportion of the entrepreneurs Hogenhouck advises are based in and around Amsterdam. Many of them operate internationally.
“We started out in The Hague nearly twenty years ago. We’ve remained loyal to that city all these years, and it will always be our home,” says Rik Stikkelbroeck, founding partner of Hogenhouck M&A. “But we’re far from done. You typically sell your business only once in your lifetime. That’s not a conversation you have from a distance. A large group of entrepreneurs we advise are based in and around Amsterdam. Now we’re there, too. When you’re closer, you hear sooner what’s really going on.”
Quality is the only obstacle
The biggest obstacle to growth is a deliberate choice. Quality comes first, and it is professionals who deliver that quality. About one-third of the team lives in the Amsterdam region and now works closer to home. At the same time, Hogenhouck is looking to expand its team at all levels, from associate to partner.
“There’s no shortage of entrepreneurs. Our only limit is the bar we set for ourselves,” says Mark van Beusekom, founding partner of Hogenhouck M&A. “Those who work with us support entrepreneurs in one of the biggest and most impactful decisions of their lives. We make no compromises on that. Our ambition is to be the undisputed first choice by 2030 for entrepreneurs selling their business for the first or second time. We can only achieve that with the best of the best, both in The Hague and in Amsterdam.”
About Hogenhouck M&A
Hogenhouck M&A assists entrepreneurs in selling their companies, often for the first or second time. Rik Stikkelbroeck and Mark van Beusekom founded the firm in The Hague in 2007. Hogenhouck focuses on healthy, growing technology- and innovation-driven companies with an operating profit (EBITDA) of approximately €1 million or more. The transaction value typically ranges from €5 million to €250 million. As the exclusive Dutch partner of the international M&A network CDI Global, Hogenhouck also seeks buyers across borders. As of 2026, approximately one-third of its transactions are cross-border.
The team consists of more than 35 professionals. The guiding principle behind every project is that the best deal starts with the entrepreneur. So it’s not just about what the company is worth, but also what is valuable to the entrepreneur personally. Hogenhouck has offices in The Hague (headquarters) and Amsterdam.
