Geomet, a geotechnical consulting and soil investigation firm operating nationally and internationally and based in Alphen aan den Rijn, has been acquired by ABO-Group. Geomet’s activities include soil investigation to determine its properties, enabling the firm to provide sound advice regarding the foundations and, where applicable, earth-retaining or water-retaining structures for real estate projects or infrastructure works. With this acquisition, the publicly traded ABO-Group, headquartered in Belgium, aims to strengthen its position in the Netherlands in the field of geotechnical activities. Geomet’s strong, knowledge- and quality-driven corporate culture aligns closely with that of the ABO-Group.
