Hogenhouck M&A advisedConsideration the strategic integration of Considerati Public Affairs into Flint Global. This move gives Considerati Public Affairs access to a broader international platform, additional expertise, and greater geographic reach. The transaction addresses clients’ growing need for strategic advice at the intersection of politics, policy, regulation, and business strategy.

For Considerati Public Affairs, this merger marks a logical next step. The company will retain its area of expertise, trusted team, and strong client relationships, while gaining access to Flint Global’s international expertise and scale. Considerati Legal & Compliance will continue to operate independently under the name Considerati and will further build on its position in the areas of privacy, AI, and data regulation.

About Considerati Public Affairs

Considerati was founded in 2008 by Ton Wagemans and Bart Schermer. Based on the belief that technology, regulation, and social development are becoming increasingly intertwined, Considerati has grown into a consulting firm with two distinct practice areas: Considerati Legal & Compliance and Considerati Public Affairs.

Considerati Public Affairs has offices in Amsterdam, The Hague, and Brussels. The company advises organizations on public affairs, policy, and regulation. Its clients include established market leaders and fast-growing, innovative companies in sectors such as the digital economy, technology, the financial sector, life sciences, and the public sector.

Under Bart Pegge’s leadership, the public affairs practice has grown significantly over the past ten years. The practice has expanded its areas of focus and markets and has established a strong substantive profile, combined with close and trusting client relationships.

Bart Pegge, Managing Director of Considerati Public Affairs, says: “Over the past ten years, we have built a strong public affairs practice, with a sharp, substantive profile and close, trusting relationships with our clients. Joining Flint feels like a natural next step for Considerati Public Affairs. In Flint, we have found a partner that shares our values, commitment to clients, and ambition for growth. This gives our clients access to a broader international network and creates new opportunities for our teams, while preserving what makes Considerati Public Affairs special.”

About Flint Global

Flint Global is an international strategic consulting firm that supports companies and investors at the intersection of policy, regulation, competition, and politics. Founded in 2015, Flint Global focuses on complex issues where public policy and commercial interests intersect.

The firm advises large companies, financial institutions, and investors in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Flint Global operates in sectors such as digital technology, telecommunications, media, financial services, life sciences, manufacturing, retail, transportation, and energy.

With approximately 250 consultants worldwide and offices in London, Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney, among other locations, Flint Global offers international scale, specialized expertise, and a broad network of senior consultants.

Thomas Barros-Tastets, managing partner for Europe at Flint Global, says: “We have long admired Considerati Public Affairs. They have built a strong team and a strong reputation in the Netherlands. From our very first discussions, it was clear that we share the same values and ambitions. Together, we can offer clients the power of a truly international platform, combined with in-depth local expertise. We look forward to seeing what we can achieve as one team.”

Strategic rationale for the transaction

This combination brings together substantive depth, strategic insight, and international scale. With Considerati Public Affairs, Flint Global strengthens its position in the Netherlands and adds in-depth local expertise to its international platform. Considerati Public Affairs, in turn, gains greater capacity to support clients on issues that are increasingly cross-border in nature.

Clients will continue to work with the team, the quality, and the dedication they have come to know, while also gaining access to additional expertise in the areas of geopolitics, international trade, and competition. In doing so, Considerati Public Affairs strengthens its position as a consulting partner for organizations operating in an environment where politics, policy, and regulation are having an increasingly direct impact on strategy and operations.

The transaction also provides clarity regarding the future development of both Considerati practices. Considerati Public Affairs will become part of Flint Global. Considerati Legal & Compliance will continue on its independent growth path in the areas of privacy, AI, and broader data regulation. This creates opportunities for both divisions to build on their respective areas of expertise.

Ton Wagemans, founder of Considerati, puts it this way: “Eighteen years ago, we launched Considerati based on the conviction that technology, regulation, and social development would become increasingly intertwined. From that foundation, two strong practices emerged, each with its own area of expertise. I am proud of what we have built together. The move toward Flint Global gives Considerati Public Affairs the opportunity to grow further, while Considerati Legal & Compliance continues to build on its own strong foundation independently.”

The Role of Hogenhouck M&A

Hogenhouck M&A advised Considerati on this transaction through Mark van Beusekom, Thijs Piso, and Amber Teunissen. The process required a sharp positioning of Considerati Public Affairs, with a clear focus on the strategic alignment between the public affairs practice, Flint Global, and the independent future of Considerati Legal & Compliance.

Ton Wagemans, founder of Considerati, on the collaboration with Hogenhouck M&A: “It was great to be able to work with the experts at Hogenhouck on this project, which resulted in a positive outcome for all parties.”

Mark van Beusekom, Managing Partner at Hogenhouck M&A, on the transaction: “From the outset, we worked closely with the Considerati team to carefully map out the strategic options. The right partner had to not only offer international scale and complementary expertise, but also align with Considerati Public Affairs’ substantive quality, client relationships, and entrepreneurial DNA. We’ve found that match in Flint Global. The combination gives Considerati Public Affairs a stronger international platform and offers clients access to broader expertise, while preserving the strength of the existing team. We look back on the process and our collaboration with the Considerati team with great appreciation.”
