De Hoge Dennen Capital Acquires a Majority Stake in Hot ITem

Amsterdam, Friday, October 1, 2016

De Hoge Dennen Capital has acquired a majority stake in Hot ITem, which specializes in performance improvement. De Hoge Dennen Capital will support Hot ITem with expertise and capital as it works to realize its strategy and mission to solidify its position among the top three performance improvement companies. The remaining shares will remain in the hands of Hot ITem’s management and employees.

The demand for specialized companies in the fields of data, Business Intelligence, and Business Analytics—particularly as they relate to organizational governance and fact-based management—has increased dramatically. This trend is expected to continue in the coming years.

Marcel van den Heuvel, investment director at De Hoge Dennen Capital, says of the investment:“De Hoge Dennen Capital is eager to invest in companies that are growing dynamically. We are very impressed by Hot ITem’s quality and corporate culture. We believe that together we can further expand the market position the company has already established in the Netherlands, both organically and through acquisitions. Through continued growth, Hot ITem will become even more relevant to its customers and employees in the future.”

Rob Honing, commercial director at Hot ITem, is enthusiastic about the investor’s decision.“With De Hoge Dennen Capital as a financially strong shareholder, we can now give concrete shape to our ambitions for the company’s future. We’ve opted for a partnership structure in which Hot ITem’s day-to-day operations and the services we provide will remain unchanged. We can also continue to build on our distinctive HRM policy, which brings out the best in people. These were very important considerations for us. Moreover, this partnership creates even more room for innovation and growth. We therefore look to the future with great confidence.”
