The Hague-based amateur soccer club HVV—full name: Haagsche Voetbal Vereeniging—can count on the support of Hogenhouck M&A as its main and jersey sponsor for the next five years. Jeroen Smits, president of the Royal Hague Cricket and Soccer Association, signed the sponsorship agreement with partners and founders Rik Stikkelbroeck and Mark van Beusekom of Hogenhouck m&a.
HVV Sponsorship Reinforces Strong Bond
Both founders of Hogenhouck M&A have had close ties with HVV—a major amateur club in The Hague—for quite some time. Rik Stikkelbroeck is a former board member and currently coaches one of the teams. Mark van Beusekom’s two sons are youth players. The fact that several Hogenhouck employees play for HVV and that the club is also located on Van Hogenhoucklaan rounds out the story.
Soccer fans in the Hague region
Hogenhouck M&A views HVV as an important unifying force for soccer fans in the region, with the support of entrepreneurs in The Hague. As an M&A boutique, Hogenhouck M&A operates internationally in the mid-market, but certainly also has strong ties to the region.
A Unique Club History
HVV was founded as early as 1883 and enjoyed its heyday in the early 20th century. It’s been a while, but between 1891 and 1914, the club managed to win the national championship no fewer than ten times. As a result, the club is permitted to wear the so-called “championship star” on the first team’s uniform, alongside Ajax, Feyenoord, and PSV.
Certainty for the next five years
The renewed sponsorship deal will help provide HVV with a solid foundation for the coming years. Thanks to this new sponsorship agreement, HVV members can receive a substantial discount on the new 2021 uniform.
