ExtraVar, a specialist in advising on and managing IT systems, will enter into a partnership with investment firm Capital A effective September 1, 2023. Hogenhouck M&A advised ExtraVar on this transaction. With Capital A’s support, ExtraVar—which, as a service provider, delivers stable and flexible infrastructures—can realize its ambition to achieve further growth in its role as a full-service IT provider.
Expanding Services
This step will enable ExtraVar to expand its service offering by growing both vertically and horizontally. The company aims to further improve its customer service and strengthen its position as a reliable and proactive player in the Dutch market.
Familiar approach
ExtraVar was founded in 1997 and has built an excellent reputation for advising and managing the IT infrastructure of companies in the Netherlands, with a team of 25 dedicated professionals. ExtraVar continues to work with its customers and suppliers in the same way it has for the past 25 years. The major benefit for its customers is that ExtraVar will be able to take even more of the burden off their hands in the near future.
New CEO Takes the Helm
Paul Massaut will take over as CEO from Dennis Zandbergen effective September 1. Dennis had this to say about this next step: “I am fully confident that my successor, Paul Massaut, will be able to drive both qualitative and quantitative growth, together with all ExtraVar colleagues, and will thus be successful in partnership with Capital A.”
The Hogenhouck team that advised ExtraVar consisted of Victor Rosier, Maarten van der Heijden, and Albert van den Pol. Victor Rosier commented on this transaction: “We enjoyed working with Dennis and Paul. We chose to sell ExtraVar as a platform and were looking for the right partner to take the company to the next phase through a ‘buy and build’ strategy. We found that suitable party in the investor Capital A. We look back on a pleasant collaboration and are convinced that the future will bring even more exciting developments for the entrepreneurs and the company.”
