Tent supplier Maessen Tentsupply enters into a partnership with the Belgian Veldeman Group, a specialist in tent structures and modular infrastructure. This will ensure Maessen Tentsupply's future growth, while Veldeman Group will provide further geographical strengthening. Hogenhouck m&a advised the shareholders of Maessen Tentsupply in this transaction.

Established value in the Dutch market

Since its founding in 1998, Maessen Tentsupply has been a valued tent supplier for numerous events, festivals and private gatherings. In addition, the company provides various business solutions, such as storage tents, work-through tents and other emergency solutions. Maessen Tentsupply provides a complete service, from professional advice to careful realization, specifically tailored to the customer's needs. The company goes further than just tent rental and provides customized total solutions, including furnishings, decor, techniques and other supplies. The team consists of 30 skilled and passionate professionals who share the ambition of becoming the most solid and sympathetic tent supplier in the Netherlands.

Professional clout and growth acceleration

As part of Veldeman Group, the company will increase its professional clout and accelerate its ambitious growth. The current management of Maessen Tentsupply will remain on board and reinvest in the Veldeman Group.

Roel Nelis of Maessen Tentsupply explains, "In 2021, Maessen Tents and Tentsupply merged. For us, this success has underlined the power of cooperation. In recent years, we have achieved nice growth and further professionalized the processes within our company. We are now ready for the next step and believe we can continue the synergy and growth within the Veldeman Group in the coming years."

Rogier Maessen of Maessen Tentsupply adds: "We recently expanded our Voorhout site with an additional storage capacity of 6,000 m². This enables us to efficiently offer our group's extensive product range on the Dutch market. We are excited to work with the team and our clients to take our services and projects to the next level."

Second acquisition in one year for Veldeman Group

Veldeman Group, based in Bree, Belgium and founded in 1950, has evolved from a traditional tent manufacturer to an expert in modular, demountable infrastructures and related services. With 120 employees spread across four offices in Europe and America, and supported by a global network of subcontractors, Veldeman serves customers in more than 60 countries. The group provides customized solutions for various sectors, including industrial, retail and events, and is known for its innovative approach and comprehensive range of services. With more than 50 years of experience, Veldeman Group has built a strong international reputation.

Private equity investor

Veldeman Group has been working with IK Partners, a leading European private equity investor, since 2023. One of the objectives of this cooperation was to drive rental growth and internationalization through targeted M&A actions. In 2023, Veldeman Group acquired East Flanders-based Tentmoment, increasing its presence in the East and West Flanders markets. Now, less than a year later, Veldeman Group is also making a second acquisition with Maessen Tentsupply, to strengthen its position in the Netherlands.

Andy Moors, CEO of Veldeman Group says, "Maessen Tentsupply is an established tent supplier in the Dutch market. Like Veldeman, the company stands for quality, flexibility and customer focus. Delivering customization is in the DNA of both our companies. Maessen's markets and target groups also match those of Veldeman. We look forward to together, within the Veldeman Group, further strengthening our position in the Dutch market and realizing challenging projects."

The collaboration with Hogenhouck m&a

The click between the management teams of both companies was good from the beginning, leaving room for open discussions about future collaborations and the long-term vision. This now results in a wonderful joining of forces in which Maessen shareholders reinvest in the Veldeman Group with a joint footprint within the Benelux. A well-considered process that now leads to a beautiful collaboration."
