Pulsr has joined forces with WeAreBrain, an AI-native technology partner headquartered in Amsterdam. This move provides the new organization with a larger platform to further expand its in-depth expertise in AI-native architecture and data science. The combined organization will continue under the name WeAreBrain and aims to become a leading European player in AI-native technology. Hogenhouck M&A advisedPulsron this transaction.

Cutting-edge expertise in AI-native architecture

Pulsr has established a strong position at the intersection of AI-native architecture, data science, and product development. Pulsr’s vision and technical expertise align seamlessly with the evolution of the software market: from traditional software delivery to AI-native systems centered on data, ownership, and scalability.

By joining forces with WeAreBrain, Pulsr can leverage its expertise on a larger scale. WeAreBrain brings market position, brand awareness, an established customer base, and proven experience in AI and product development. Pulsr adds a forward-thinking vision and deep specialization in AI-native architecture and data science. Together, they enhance their capabilities and create a broader platform to help organizations redesign, build, and scale their technology.

Technical foundation for the next generation of software

Enrico Karsten, co-CEO of WeAreBrain: “The way software is built is constantly changing. AI-native architectures and solid data foundations form the basis. What Pulsr has built is precisely the technical foundation that makes this possible at scale. By integrating this into WeAreBrain, we can deliver AI-native systems that give organizations real control over their technology, reduce dependence on vendors, build on open infrastructure, and create something that will last.”

A concrete example of the direction in which Pulsr and WeAreBrain are jointly moving forward is Sinas: an agent-based orchestration and control layer that connects data, agents, and tools in secure and traceable workflows. Sinas accelerates value delivery and reduces vendor lock-in, using open source as a foundation to further accelerate market growth. Coming soon is One, a business operating system that brings together data and systems in a single searchable interface.

Pulsr as a Driver of AI-Native Development

This partnership underscores the direction Pulsr has been taking in recent years: developing technology that gives organizations more control over their own digital infrastructure. The shared ambition is to go beyond software development alone and help organizations build sustainable, scalable, and sovereign technology solutions.

The focus here is on strong data foundations, open-source infrastructure, and European digital ownership. Pulsr’s expertise serves as a key foundation for the combined organization and strengthens the technical core of what WeAreBrain aims to further develop in the coming years.

A Shared Ambition for the European AI Market

Mario Grunitz, co-founder of WeAreBrain: “Ten years ago, we started building technology that really matters. Every project, every client, and every new colleague has brought us closer to the kind of company we’ve always wanted to be. This merger is the decisive step. We’re not repositioning ourselves. We’re refining something that’s been in motion for a long time. WeAreBrain is now exactly what we set out to build, and we’ve only just begun.”

The combined organization is led by Mario Grunitz, Enrico Karsten, Kjeld Oostra, and Jeroen Thijs. Kjeld Oostra leads the AI & Data Science practice and, together with Sinas, drives innovation in the methodologies that form the technical core of the combined organization. The expansion with a new office in Valencia reflects the growing scale and ambition of this next phase.

The M&A process
