Dutch software provider ScoreTrace has been acquired by FleetGO Group with the support of Main Capital Partners. This is the fourth strategic acquisition since the initial investment by Main Capital Partners, which founded FleetGO Group. Hogenhouck M&A advised the owners of ScoreTrace on this M&A transaction.
Innovation and Synergy Through Collaboration
ScoreTrace, founded in 2013 and headquartered in Alphen aan den Rijn, is a leading provider of TMS (Transport Management System) and E-form software for optimizing dump truck transport. The company holds a leading position in the Dutch dump truck market and offers carriers, contractors, and subcontractors a wide range of features, including comprehensive solutions for TMS, contract management, and waybill management. In addition, ScoreTrace provides innovative WMS solutions.
John van der Gaag and Michel van Krimpen, founders and owners of ScoreTrace: “The merger with FleetGO enables ScoreTrace to reach the next level. This integration brings together two leading software providers with significant potential and allows us to maximize our capabilities within a larger group. We are confident that the resulting synergies will provide significant added value to our customers, accelerate innovation, and ensure the long-term continuity of our products.”
Economies of Scale and Strategic Growth
The FleetGO Group, founded in 2010, is a pan-European logistics software company specializing in transportation, warehousing, and fleet management. The company quickly established a strong market position with advanced telematics solutions and serves more than 6,500 customers in Europe via a cloud-based platform. In 2022, FleetGO expanded strategically through its merger with Wanko Informationslogistik and the recent acquisition of Data2Track. The acquisition of ScoreTrace aligns seamlessly with FleetGO’s ambition to offer an integrated software solution for transportation and order management, warehousing, asset management, route optimization, and fleet management. With a strong position in the DACH and Benelux regions, FleetGO is now entering the Dutch tipper truck market and strengthening its offering with specialized TMS solutions, contract management, digital waybills, CO₂ tracking via Formklub and Smartklub, and WMS solutions. Thanks to the combined expertise and technological integration, FleetGO can achieve further economies of scale and growth.
Ronald van Tiel, CEO of FleetGO Group: “ScoreTrace is a perfect addition to the FleetGO Group’s product portfolio. The TMS and its associated solutions address a critical need, enabling us to offer our dump truck customers a comprehensive suite of solutions. The solutions for tracking contracts, waybills, and CO2 emissions will further enhance FleetGO’s existing offerings to our customers.”
Sven van Berge, Managing Partner & Head of DACH – Main Capital Partners: “FleetGO’s acquisition of ScoreTrace is a strategic and smart move. ScoreTrace’s solutions expand FleetGO’s portfolio, add a new customer base, and, at the same time, bring in experienced professionals who will strengthen FleetGO’s market position.”
The M&A process
Hogenhouck M&A advised the owners of ScoreTrace on this transaction through Daan Zonneveld, Amber Teunissen, and Edwin Lips. Daan commented on this M&A process: “At the start of our collaboration, we worked with John and Michel to identify ScoreTrace’s strengths—as a niche champion with strong growth—and determine where these strengths would be best utilized. The FleetGo Group fits this profile perfectly. FleetGo is rapidly establishing a leading position in the tipper truck market and offers ScoreTrace national and international commercial clout and a robust back-office to support it. Furthermore, with their experience, network, and entrepreneurial spirit, John and Michel will certainly add value to the FleetGo Group.”
