QConferencing is a leading provider of professional conferencing solutions for the corporate market. The video communications company is now joining Interstellar to drive further growth in the collaboration market. Hogenhouck M&A advised QConferencing’s shareholders on this transaction.
Strong position in corporate market and healthcare
Qconferencing was founded in 2001 by Eckart Wintzen, an IT entrepreneur who invested his capital in “green” projects. Based in Diemen, Qconferencing primarily provides services to the corporate market, with clients such as Engie, Flowtraders, FD Mediagroep, and KLM, and also holds a strong position in the healthcare sector (care & cure). The three-member executive board, consisting of Pieter Peletier, Mans Lejeune, and Jesse van Straaten, will continue to lead Qconferencing following the acquisition.
Additional growth due to corona pandemic
The videoconferencing market has evolved significantly in recent years with the emergence of cloud services and has received an additional boost from mandatory home working during the corona pandemic. The combination of software (Teams, Zoom, Webex, Pexip), conferencing equipment and implementation and support services for complete video conferencing unburdening are of great value to its customers.

New specialty added to Interstellar collection
Interstellar is a collection of generalist and specialist IT companies. All companies are autonomous enterprises with their own quality, specialization and identity. In total, Interstellar represents more than 600 employees and a turnover of 140+ million euros.
In addition to QConferencing, Microsoft Teams specialist AskRoger! has also joined Interstellar. Interstellar CEO Maarten van Montfoort said: “With the addition of AskRoger! and QConferencing, we are able to offer our customers an excellent addition to our portfolio and, in one fell swoop, take a leading position in the Dutch market in the digital collaboration sector.”

The video conferencing market is growing exponentially. QConferencing continues to operate independently within the group and aims to remain an attractive employer for young talent.
