Director of M&A

At Hogenhouck M&A, our clients come first. Entrepreneurs who are about to take a pivotal step toward the future—one that will shape both their life’s work and their own lives.

About Hogenhouck m&a

Hogenhouck M&A is a leading boutique M&A firm that assists entrepreneurs in selling their businesses. With over 30 professionals, we are among the most sought-after sell-side advisors for entrepreneurs in the technology and innovation sectors.

Our ambition is clear: by 2030, Hogenhouck M&A will be the first choice for entrepreneurs selling their businesses. We want to double our revenue—not through volume, but through focus, quality, and genuine commitment to every deal.

Our driving force: for entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs. We think like entrepreneurs, take ownership of the results, and build an organization that creates sustainable value for customers, colleagues, and shareholders.

Why this role, and why now?

Our growth toward 2030 requires Directors who can not only lead complex M&A transactions, but also build lasting relationships with entrepreneurs and investors and secure new engagements. You combine high-quality deal execution with entrepreneurship and commercial leadership.

This is a role for a professional who combines subject-matter expertise with commercial acumen and helps the team excel. You will be a visible champion of our culture and will work closely with the Partners on Hogenhouck’s continued development.

The role

As Director of M&A, you will lead transactions from start to finish: from positioning, valuation, and documentation to due diligence, negotiation, and closing. You will serve as a senior point of contact for the client and be responsible for the quality, progress, and outcome of your mandates.

In addition, you’ll work with the Partner to develop new projects and build long-term client relationships, build a relevant network of entrepreneurs and investors, and manage your cluster’s sales funnel. You’ll coach Managers, Associates, and Analysts and help shape the Hogenhouck culture on a daily basis.

  • You bring clarity to analyses, focus to negotiations, and calm to complex processes.
  • You help people grow and enable the entire team to perform better.
  • You think and act like an entrepreneur, putting the firm's interests first.

We measure success based on, among other things,

  • Origination: a contribution based on the deal value per year, to be determined.
  • Closing rate for the accounts you are responsible for.
  • Assignments: multiple active transactions under your ultimate responsibility.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Customer NPS After the Deal.
  • Team Development: Your Cluster's eNPS.
