Hogenhouck M&A advised Interforce’s shareholders and management on the sale to PQR, a subsidiary of the German Bechtle Group. With this acquisition, PQR adds a comprehensive and standardized workplace solution for small and medium-sized businesses to its portfolio. For Interforce, this partnership represents a logical step toward further professionalization, scale, and the nationwide rollout of its IT vision model.

About Interforce

Interforce develops, implements, and manages secure and modern IT workstations for small and medium-sized businesses. The company operates based on its own IT vision model, which consists of six interrelated components: consulting, infrastructure, security, monitoring, backup, and support. The workstation is built on Microsoft 365 and is supplemented with cloud networking, secure email, and VoIP telephony.

Interforce was founded in 2002, has 38 employees, and is based in Hazerswoude-Dorp. The company stands out for its straightforward approach, short lines of communication, clear language, and a dedicated support department where customers can speak directly with a specialist who is familiar with their environment. Interforce’s strength lies in standardization: essentially, every customer receives the same tried-and-true workstation, configured according to established policies and highly automated.

Robert Kuijf, founder of Interforce: “Since 2002, we’ve been building the best and safest workplace for small and medium-sized businesses—fully standardized and automated. After years of development, we’ve reached a point where the next phase of growth primarily requires further professionalization, policies, and processes. At the same time, we’re noticing that scale is increasingly becoming a deciding factor in our market and that the influence of large, dominant suppliers is growing. Within a larger organization, we can take that next step more quickly and effectively, better allocate resources to peripheral areas such as HR and marketing, and maintain a full focus on our products and services. For our people and our customers, this is a logical and healthy step forward.”

About PQR

PQR is an IT service provider based in Utrecht that positions itself as a “Peace of Mind Provider in IT.” The company delivers, implements, and manages reliable IT solutions in the areas of IT infrastructure, workspaces, data centers, cloud, networking, security, and Managed Services. With its SpaceHub approach, PQR helps organizations transition securely to private, public, or hybrid cloud environments.

PQR was founded in 1990, has over 400 employees, and has been part of Bechtle AG—which is listed on the MDAX and TecDAX—since 2022. The acquisition of Interforce aligns with PQR’s strategy to further expand its service portfolio, providing customers with a single point of contact for modern workplaces, hybrid data center and cloud environments, networking, and security.

Marco Lesmeister, Managing Director of PQR: “Small and medium-sized businesses deserve a workplace that just works: secure, reliable, and hassle-free. Interforce has refined this down to the last detail in a standardized model that proves itself time and time again. Within PQR, this model serves as the blueprint for our services to small and medium-sized businesses. By leveraging PQR’s scale and expertise, we can offer small and medium-sized business owners throughout the Netherlands a digital work environment that’s available anytime, anywhere.”

Strategic rationale for the transaction

The acquisition strengthens PQR’s SMB offering. Interforce brings a fully standardized and automated workplace solution that complements PQR’s existing services in the areas of data centers, hybrid cloud, networking, and security. This creates a broader offering for SMB organizations that want to manage their IT securely, efficiently, and hassle-free.

For Interforce, this merger provides access to the scale, expertise, and organizational strength of PQR and Bechtle. This creates the opportunity to move into the next phase of growth more quickly and effectively, while the team remains focused on products, services, and customers. The entire Interforce team will be joining PQR.

Hogenhouck m&a

We really appreciated his tremendous level of commitment, personal attention, and decisiveness throughout our collaboration. The team possesses a great deal of expertise in our field, which is essential for a successful outcome. You can tell they’re truly committed to finding the best possible match.
