Gorilla Services acquired by Lyvia Group

Gorilla Services
, specialist in IT consulting and software consulting and implementations, joins forces with
Lyvia Group.
With this, Gorilla Services aims to grow further to become even more relevant to their customers and partners. Hogenhouck m&a advised Gorilla Services in this transaction.

Established approach

Gorilla Services consults and implements SaaS software solutions for customer and IT service, CRM, workflow automation, and AI and chatbots. Founded in 2013, the company currently employs about 30 professionals and is a five-time FD Gazellen Award winner. With innovative software – from partners Freshworks and Monday.com – the company delivers the ultimate customer experience and IT service management solution. Gorilla Services focuses primarily on the Benelux.

Versatile ecosystem for businesses

Lyvia Group offers a diverse ecosystem of companies in Software & Expert Services and Marketing & Tech. The originally Swedish group now includes more than 50 offices with more than 1,500 professionals. The acquisition of Gorilla Services is the second Dutch acquisition.

Capitalized shareholder for growth

Founder Taco van der Pompe said, “This is an important new chapter in our history. With Lyvia Group as a wealthy shareholder, we have a solid partner on board for the coming growth phase.” Van der Pompe will remain involved with Gorilla Services as an advisor.

Joachim Beckmann is co-owner and CEO: “We want to continue to grow in the coming years with an emphasis on international opportunities. This cooperation allows us to benefit from Lyvia’s broad knowledge and experience. We are therefore looking forward to a new growth phase together with Lyvia and the companies in the ecosystem.”

Buy-and-hold-forever strategy

Gorilla Services retains its own identity and benefits from Lyvia Group’s knowledge and experience thanks to this acquisition. Lyvia’s philosophy is characterized by the fact that the companies in the ecosystem maintain their autonomy and culture while benefiting from the knowledge and experience of the larger whole. Lyvia has a long-term strategic focus that she herself describes as a “buy-and-hold-forever” strategy.

“Gorilla Services aligns well with different segments in Lyvia’s value chain, from productivity to customer experience. We are proud that they have chosen Lyvia as a partner for further growth,” said Hossein Araghi, Investment Partner, Lyvia Group.

M&A brings new options

Joachim Beckmann looks back on this M&A process, “With Hogenhouck m&a as a professional partner, several options were put on the table that fit our strategy, with surprising twists. Our goal was to find a professional party who can take the next step with Gorilla Services together with us. Because we now find our place within Lyvia, we are now in a position to pursue expansion ourselves. This allows us to focus on foreign countries which in turn provides new challenges for everyone within Gorilla Services.”

Responding quickly to new developments

Hogenhouck m&a supervised Gorilla Services with Mark van Beusekom, Maarten van der Heijden and Adriaan Verbeek. Mark van Beusekom about this transaction: “Taco and Joachim are driven entrepreneurs who complement each other well with their own expertise from technology & strategy and sales & partner management. This has enabled Gorilla Services to develop from a reseller of Freshworks & Monday.com into a full-service provider, also for implementation projects and support. Further internationalization with Lyvia Group is the next step in Gorilla Services’ entrepreneurial journey.”
